Large Global CPG Food manufacturer

Provided Application and Infrastructure development support for R&D QA Specification group.:

  • Managed development of PLM/PDM specification product for R&D IT Director at food manufacturer.
  • Managed DBAs supporting Ingres and conversion to Oracle. Used ERWin to support ERD and RDM documentation.
  • Responsible for 5 year, 1.5 million annual budget for 15 direct and 5 indirect resources.

Following utilized Business Systems Integration, Data Integration, and Systems Optimization techniques.

S&OP

• Facilitated a multi-discipline process improvement team in commercializing new products and manufacturing processes resulting in $6 million in annual savings.

• 50% reduction in time to generate multi-lingual ingredient statements for globally exported products with FDA and USDA compliance.

• Paved way for company’s first Integrated specification system aimed at product quality improvements and margin enhancement through purchasing synergies. This system was an integral part of a $25 million savings program realized in its inaugural year.

• Avoided $120 Million raw material recall loss by designing and implementing a Product Data Management (PDM) system across 26 facilities enterprise.
